About the Artist
Kat Wright's studies in drawing, painting and sculpture began at the age of 14 when she started her art education at the Fine Art High School in Krakow, Poland. Kat progressed her art training gaining two separate art degrees, including a BA with Honours in Painting from Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts, and an MA in Art History from the Jagiellonian University, both in Krakow.
Living in Scotland for the past 15 years the dramatic landscapes, weather and abundance of nature has given Kat much inspiration. However, closer to home, and being a keen gardener, the multitude of different plants, flowers and wildlife in Kat’s own garden has shaped her most recent series of works.
Kat has exhibited work in group and solo shows throughout Poland and the UK. Her work can be found in numerous collections around the globe.
